Chickpea Burgers

These burgers are wonderful on a lovely sunny day when you don’t really feel like cooking much as they don’t take much preparation. They are bursting with many different flavours. If you love chickpeas, this is the meal for you!

Serves - 4
Prep. Time - 15 mins
Cooking Time - 10 mins


  • 400g ¬†cooked chickpeas
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 200g of cooked broccoli, chopped into small florrets
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1 bunch of coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 100g of ground almonds
  • 2 red onions, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking


  • Mash the chickpeas
  • Add and stir in ¬†all other ingredients
  • Make 8 burgers and chill in fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Cook in pan with olive oil over a low heat for approx 4 minutes each side
  • Enjoy!
