Apple & Berry Crumble

A beautiful warming classic with a healthier twist. The traditional crumble topping of flour and sugar is replaced by oats and ground almonds providing plenty of soluble fibre and protein.

Prep. Time - 15 mins
Cooking Time - 30 mins


  • 25g room temperature butter (or use coconut butter for DF)
  • 25g oats
  • 50g ground almonds
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 large cooking apple
  • 50g frozen berries
  • ¼ cup of water
  • ½ tbspn honey


  • Heat oven to 160 C
  • Peel and chop apple
  • Place chopped apple in saucepan with small amount of water. Simmer until apple begins to break down. Add honey and mixed berries and stir
  • Place fruit mixture in oven proof dish
  • Chop butter, add oats and almonds and work together with hands to form a crumble mix
  • Stir in honey and place crumble mixture on top of fruit
  • Cook for 30 mins
